clarelight-ly knitting

Knit lightly, it makes it easier to take the mistakes out.

What I think I am doing.

This is an experiment for me, and I'm not sure if it will work.

After all, there are a lot of knitting-themed blogs out there, and I'm not sure if I have anything interesting to say that hasn't already been said somewhere else.

On the other hand, I do like to muse aloud about what I'm doing, and how it fits into the rest of the puzzle that is my life. And maybe the interest I find in reading other people's blogs will apply to mine also-its always intriging to see what other people are up to, what they are knitting, and how they handle mistakes and make something out of them.

I guess someone will want to know something about me. My job is boring and involves insurance. I share a huge house with my parents, three dogs, and a cat. My stash is stuffed into several large plastic tubs (the ones with lids). I want more so I can organize my stash a little more neatly. Well, and to have room for the new stuff that unaccountably follows me home. No children, no significant other. It's a pretty quiet life, and I like it that way. (not that I don't want a significant other, but he hasn't shown up yet, and I won't just sit waiting for him; he's going to have to catch me)

Knitting will be what keeps this blog going and on track, hopefully everything else will fall in place around it. I love to knit, I feel cheated if I can't sit with it at least once a day. Knitting is my companion and comfort, in a life where much of the things I do are constant repeats of what I've already done. Housework, laundy, pets, work, often I feel like I'm on The Never-Ending Treadmill Of Doom. But when I knit, the stitches I make will stay there, unless I decide to take them out and redo. That's the beauty of knitting, or embroidery, or whatever art/craft you put your heart into. It is all yours, and when it is finished, it stays completed.

So, here I am. Let's see what happens next.
